ADHD Assessment and Treatment Services

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with additional training in ADHD assessment, evaluation, and treatment, I provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations for adolescents and adults seeking diagnostic clarification, greater self-understanding, and individualized treatment recommendations.

An ADHD assessment may help:

  • Determine whether concerns involving attention, impulsivity, organization, or executive functioning are consistent with ADHD
  • Explore other emotional, behavioral, relational, or environmental factors that may contribute to similar symptoms
  • Guide counseling and ADHD treatment planning
  • Identify practical strategies for school, work, relationships, and daily life
  • Support coordination with medical or psychiatric providers
  • Provide clinical information that may be considered during an IEP or Section 504 evaluation
  • Identify when additional medical, psychological, educational, or neuropsychological evaluation may be appropriate

Important Scope of Services

My ADHD evaluations are intended for diagnostic clarification, counseling and treatment planning, psychoeducation, care coordination, and informing appropriate support recommendations.

I do not provide evaluations for:

  • Disability-benefit determinations
  • Legal or forensic proceedings
  • High-stakes standardized-testing accommodations
  • Fitness-for-duty decisions
  • Comprehensive neuropsychological testing
  • Comprehensive learning-disability testing

An ADHD evaluation from my practice does not guarantee medication, an IEP or Section 504 plan, workplace or educational accommodations, disability benefits, or acceptance by another organization. Schools, employers, testing organizations, government agencies, prescribing professionals, and other third parties establish their own eligibility and documentation requirements.

If your needs fall outside my scope of services, I may recommend evaluation by a psychologist, neuropsychologist, physician, school-based evaluation team, or another appropriately qualified professional.

Discuss an ADHD assessment

A therapy consultation is an opportunity to discuss your needs and whether these assessment services are a fit.
